We have an Avatar!

I don’t have the gift of ubiquity, but I do have something better: my sister Paola.
Whenever I can’t make it to Sicily to meet suppliers, Paola steps in for me. She is not just a Sommelier, she has a remarkable sensitivity for people, places, and flavors.

With her expertise and her deep knowledge of our customers, we completely trust her palate and tasting notes, which we always review and discuss together.

Her path has led her to many incredible experiences – including, with the FIS team, serving as the official Sommeliers at the G7 of Agriculture Ministers in Syracuse in 2024.

Last week she visited Casa Grazia, an award-winning, small family winery set in the magical surroundings of Lake Biviere, the only saltwater lake in Sicily.
The lake’s unique environment, kissed by sea breezes and rich in minerals, leaves its mark on the grapes, giving birth to formidable wines.

Casa Grazia produces just 90,000 bottles across 15 labels – a true jewel of Sicilian winemaking.
Paola tasted, approved, and brought the story back to me, and now we are working to bring these wines (and a little piece of Lake Biviere’s magic) to the UK wine lovers very soon.
