About the Winery: Casa Gheller
A journey from the charm of Venice to the enchantment of the Valdobbiadene hills. A place with a magical and unique atmosphere, the city where the history of the Gheller family begins.
Casa Gheller takes its name from an old family of wine growers who lived in Valdobbiadene, the very heart of the Prosecco area, and produced great quality wines.
In the '80s, the Moretti Polegato family, the most important wine group in the area of Prosecco, has acquired the Casa Gheller brand carrying on its tradition.
Since 2019, the Prosecco Hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene are a World Heritage Site, the 55th Italian site recognized by Unesco. Thus the universal value of a real cultural landscape is recognized where the work of the winegrowers has helped to create a unique product that is loved around the world.
