About the Winery: Cantine Patria
Cantine Patria take their name from the Patrìa district, near Monreale, where the Di Miceli family fought in the 50’s. In 1992, the family took over the old Torrepalino, a historic wine cellar in Solicchiata of Castiglione di Sicilia, a small village on the north side of Etna.
The old wine cellar is now the beautiful headquarter of Cantine Patria, with its vineyards and wine tasting rooms, always busy with visitors from all over the world!
Their wine production is centered on the Etna DOC’s red, white and rosé, by carefully selecting the grape varieties of Nerello Mascalese, Nerello Cappuccio and Carricante, widely planted on the area with vineyards located at different altitudes and aged up to 100 years.
Cantine Patria has conquered many International wine awards for their excellent work and quality in wine making.

Multi award winning organic red wine by Cantine Patria made from Nerello Mascalese grapes grown in volcanic soil at an altitude of 650 meters. Ruby red colour with a bouquet of mineral notes, sweet spices and berries slighlty aged in oak for velvety tannins.
