Lagodamare 2024

About the Winery: Casa Grazia

Casa Grazia was born from a dream that carried within it a destiny. It all began in the early 1900s, when the Brunetti family started cultivating their land, producing both table grapes and grapes for winemaking amidst olive groves and orchards.

In the 1980s, when professional commitments led Angelo Brunetti down a different path, it was Maria Grazia Di Francesco—his life and travel companion—who embraced the dream. She cared for the vineyards and, in doing so, discovered her own calling as a woman of wine, deeply fascinated by the vine.

The year 2005 brought an excellent Nero d’Avola, which encouraged the family to take the next step. After decades of tending the land and vineyards, Casa Grazia bottled its own grapes for the very first time—fruits of Lake Biviere.

Cherished in local memory, home to protected species and rare plants, Lake Biviere shapes a unique terroir with a marked salinity, the distinctive hallmark of Casa Grazia wines.

NEW! Lagodamare sparkling wine

Made by Casa Grazia, the smaller wine producer in our wine collection! The family produces 90,000 bottles a year, divided into 15 wines, with 32 hectares of vineyards.

Lagodimare name pays homage to Lake Biviere, a natural saltwater lake whose unique environment imparts a distinctive saline character to the wines born here.

This natural sparkling wine is crafted from a balanced blend of white grapes. Moscato provides intensity and aromatic lift, Grillo contributes elegance and freshness, while Traminer adds its unmistakable floral and spicy notes.

In the glass, it shows bright straw-yellow hues with fine, persistent bubbles. On the nose, it offers fragrances of white flowers, citrus, and tropical fruit, enriched by delicate mineral nuances.

Ideal with raw or lightly cooked seafood, shellfish, tempura vegetables, or fresh goat cheese. Its saline freshness also makes it a perfect companion to Mediterranean dishes rich in herbs.

The palate is fresh, harmonious, and savoury, with a well-balanced acidity and a crisp, lingering finish.
45% Moscato bianco, 50% Grillo, 5% Traminer
12% Vol, 750ml
Best served 8-10°C
Southwestern Sicily
